Awesome Time of Worship
Sundays don’t feel like worship sometimes! I know that sounds crazy coming from a Pastor, who preaches to and leads an entire congregation in worship every week. But for me, the music portion of our service is usually a time when my attention is arrested by everything happening up front and the message I’m about to preach.
That’s why tonight meant so much to me. We had “one great night of praise” at Bethel and it was wonderful! My heart was connected to God’s heart in a fresh way. Our worship was accompanied by various instruments, the songs were projected on the wall, and we were led by a praise team. All of this feels like “home” to me. If you have a problem with any of those things, you’re being a bit selfish, claiming that the only real worship is worship-done-your-way. But I love you anyway!
I hunger for more of these opportunities, and we’re going to create them to the glory of God. I wanted to publicly announce my appreciation for the praise team. Bill, Ken, Kip, Holly, and Tamara worked really hard, practicing in multiple sessions leading up to the night and it paid off to the glory of God!
