ONE GREAT TRUTH: The greatest enemy to God’s best is the world’s best without God.

The Dessert First Challenge: Some time in the next week, I want to challenge you to eat dessert before the meal. Why? As a living illustration of the principle that sometimes we spend so much time saving the best for last that we miss out altogether. God wants us to enjoy His best, but we often miss it for second best.

Good is the enemy of great.

The story of Reuben and Dan contains a lot of very practical lessons…

  1. Always be fully informed before making decisions.
  2. Good can be the greatest enemy of great.
  3. Be sure that your sin will find you out.

But I want focus on the greatest lesson of all – the greatest tragedy of all in the situation.

Consider the tragedy of missing out on God’s very best for your life.

Consider the tragedy of missing out on God’s family.

Consider the tragedy of missing your eternal inheritance.

Wow. It's Quiet Here...
