It’s easy in America to wear the label “Christian.” The bigger question is, do you live out the definition of the label? Are you a Jesus follower? To follow Jesus means to sit at His feet as a disciple, a student, and a learner. It means to emulate His behavior and actions and to learn from His choices. It means to allow His words and teachings to saturate our lives and set our course. It means to proclaim Him as Savior and Lord, to submit to Him as Master of our lives. Are you a Jesus follower?
Perhaps the answer to that question will be seen as you display His glory in your life. Do you hide His light under a bushel or share Him with the universe around you? As one old famous question goes, if you were on trial for being a Christian, would there be enough evidence to convict you? Enough with cultural Christianity and popular religion. Enough of seeking the church which entertains us most. Enough with belonging to the body for status and prestige. Enough with having one foot in the Kingdom and the other in the world. We must have true Jesus-followers!
