Announcing the Name of Our Son

Our baby boy is due in April of 2010. That’s a miraculous thing for which we are very thankful to God. It’s been a long journey and we’ve prayed for a long, long time for this second child. We’re officially naming him Samuel David and you must read my wife’s post about how we arrived at that name. She tells the moving story far better than I could.

    Hey Brandon!

Wow! What a great name. Of course as you know names are very important. Your son will be one “after God’s own heart who will truly proclaim the Word of the Lord in a timely way to his generation.”

    Be blessed!

Thanks Dr. Rus, we felt the name should have some meaning as well and I’m studying 1 Samuel right now to begin preaching through it the first of the year. He was chosen to stand before the Lord’s anointed all his life – pretty powerful meanings attached.

Beautiful, reputable name that matches a child who listens to not only child. Biblical names are great, and Samuel also not so worn out, like those other Biblical prophets.

Thanks, we’re pretty happy with it.
