Where Was My Brain Today?

This has been a long, but very good day. Angie couldn’t sleep at 3:30 a.m. so I got up too and started working on things. That may explain the mental lapses I endured throughout the day. I dropped Ella off at school and headed to the grocery store to pick up some fried chicken for Bethel’s Keenagers’ luncheon. About 10:30, a church member dropped by and I asked, “Oh, are you here for the Keenager’s meeting?” He helped me remember that it isn’t this week – it’s next week.

An hour later, a fellow local Pastor called and asked, “Aren’t you coming to lunch?” That’s right. We had scheduled a lunch together today, when I was planning on attending the Keenagers’ Luncheon that is actually going on next week. I recently turned 31. Maybe it’s my age kicking in! What was I writing about anyway?

Nice dude. You know. I forget tons of things. I get home to my wife and didn’t realize I had a whole list of things to do.

In the confusion, I also managed to forget to go collect a very nice table that a local business is giving us as a generous gift. I really hope Friday is better. Not that Thursday was bad – it was actually a great day – I was just an idiot!
