In April of 2007, I began preaching through the entire Bible, book-by-book. Yes, I am committed to speaking God’s truth in a culturally relevant way, but I also think God knew what He was doing as He inspired His Word, so we’re hearing all the subjects God speaks about, one by one. Numbers is presenting one of the greatest preaching challenges I’ve ever faced. It’s not so much that the book is difficult to understand as it is that the entire book is about failure.

ONE GREAT TRUTH: We are living in economically hard times, which is the perfect time for us to become greater givers!
These are tough times in many respects, but for the believer, they are also really good times in terms of some of the great opportunities God has brought our way. With our entering the holiday season, approaching the celebration of the birth of Christ, I wanted to present the really good news of Christmas in the midst of a world of scrooges. While most people are saying “Bah! Humbug!,” Christians ought to be saying, “Thank you God for being so good!”
