I’m very excited about the BMA Missions Department’s new web site! It isn’t the design, which is nice. It isn’t the functionality (which is built on ASP.net, ugghhh, $$!). Instead, it’s the fact that the BMA of America is getting something very right and that is, we absolutely have to invest in advancing the cause of Christ technologically. It’s just our culture.
The content of the site is pretty comprehensive. There is ample information to inform people about all of the missionaries serving, as well as news and updates. Personally, I would have liked to see much more of a web 2.0 slant on things with news and discussion up front, but this is a step beyond where we’ve been and I’m thoroughly excited.
